In Buenos Aires, a criminal threatened to asphyxiate a stolen poodle to avoid arrest but was quickly apprehended.
The incident occurred this weekend when four thieves, including three minors, broke into a home in the Ñu Porá neighborhood. The adult member of the group scuffled with the caretaker, and after fleeing with a pet and other items, was located by the police.
At the moment of being intercepted, he threatened to asphyxiate the stolen poodle, causing minutes of tension until he was quickly subdued.
The criminal, with a prior record, was identified as 18-year-old Luciano Alberto V., alias "Coco", and was arrested after committing the violent robbery in a home in the Ñu Porá neighborhood, where he acted alongside three minors, two aged 15 and one aged 12.
According to the victim's complaint, Orlando L. (42), the group entered the property located on Cataratas del Iguazú and Guembé streets, where they stole a brush cutter, a backpack, a wrench, and the dog.
During the robbery, to prevent them from taking the belongings, he began to struggle with the young man, who attacked him with a bladed weapon, causing minor injuries to his forearm, highlights the police report accessed by the Argentine News Agency.
After reporting to 911, officers from the 14th Precinct of Regional Unit X, with the support of the Special Tactical Command Fátima, set up a "clampdown" operation that allowed them to locate those involved.
At the moment of being intercepted, "Coco" threatened to kill the stolen poodle to avoid his arrest.
As a result of the procedure, the young man was arrested at the disposal of the Justice system, while the three minors were detained and handed over to the Center for Modeling Assistance and Follow-up for Children and Adolescents (Ce.Mo.AS).
Regarding the stolen pet and items, they were recovered and placed under guard.
